Ingredients
Main Ingredients:
1 lb fresh strawberries (washed and thoroughly dried)
8 oz dark, milk, or white chocolate (finely chopped or chocolate chips)
1 tsp coconut oil or vegetable shortening (for a smoother texture, optional)
Optional Toppings:
White or dark chocolate drizzle
Crushed nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, or pistachios)
Shredded coconut
Sprinkles or edible glitter
Sea salt flakes
Instructions
- Prepare the Strawberries: Wash the strawberries and pat them completely dry with a paper towel. (Moisture can prevent the chocolate from sticking properly.)
- Melt the Chocolate: Use a double boiler (or microwave in 20-second intervals) to gently melt the chocolate. Stir continuously for a smooth, glossy finish. If needed, add coconut oil to create a silkier consistency.
- Dip the Strawberries: Hold each strawberry by the stem or leaves, dip into the melted chocolate, and swirl to coat evenly. Let the excess chocolate drip off before placing it on a parchment-lined tray.
- Decorate & Let Set: If using toppings, sprinkle them immediately while the chocolate is still wet. For a drizzle effect, use a fork or piping bag to create delicate chocolate lines over the strawberries. Allow the strawberries to set at room temperature or refrigerate for 15-30 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
- Serve & Enjoy! Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 48 hours.
