  • ¾ cup (150g) packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups (190g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 cups (240g) old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1½ cups (225g) raisins
  • Optional: ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking trays with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Add dry ingredients to wet mixture. Stir in oats and raisins.
  6. Scoop dough onto baking sheets, spacing evenly.
  7. Bake 10–12 minutes or until edges are golden and centers are soft.
  8. Cool for 5 minutes on the tray, then transfer to a wire rack.
