- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1–2 cloves garlic (optional), minced
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Pinch of nutmeg (optional)
Instructions
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Sauté garlic for 30–60 seconds if using.
- Pour in cream and stir gently for 4–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Reduce heat to low and gradually stir in Parmesan until fully melted.
- Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using).
- Remove from heat and serve immediately over pasta or as desired.
