Instructions
- Activate the Yeast : In a bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and 1 teaspoon sugar. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- Make the Dough : In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. And add yeast mixture, melted butter, and beaten egg. Mix until dough forms, then knead for 8-10 minutes (or 5-7 minutes with a stand mixer) until smooth and elastic.
- First Rise : Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 to 1.5 hours until doubled in size.
- Shape the Roll : Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape into balls and place on a greased baking dish.
- Second Rise : Cover and let rise for another 30-45 minutes until puffy.
- Bake to Perfection : Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush rolls with melted butter and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
- Final Touch : Brush warm rolls with melted butter for extra softness and shine.
