Ingredients

  • 8 oz lump or backfin crab meat
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup reserved pasta water (for loosening sauce)

Instructions

  1. Cook linguine in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté garlic and chili flakes until fragrant.
  3. Add crab meat and lemon zest; warm gently without over-stirring.
  4. Toss cooked pasta with the crab mixture, lemon juice, and a bit of pasta water.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, sprinkle with parsley, and serve warm.
