Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti (cooked al dente)
  • 2 cups marinara or meat sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar (optional)
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey (optional)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional veggies: spinach, mushrooms, bell peppers

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook spaghetti until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil, sauté onion and garlic. Add ground meat and cook through.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce and seasonings. Simmer for 5–10 minutes.
  5. Toss spaghetti with half the sauce and some cheese.
  6. Layer in a baking dish: pasta mix, sauce, cheese. Repeat layers.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  8. Uncover and bake another 10 minutes until bubbly.
  9. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
