- 12 oz spaghetti (cooked al dente)
- 2 cups marinara or meat sauce
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- ½ cup shredded cheddar (optional)
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey (optional)
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Optional veggies: spinach, mushrooms, bell peppers
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook spaghetti until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil, sauté onion and garlic. Add ground meat and cook through.
- Stir in marinara sauce and seasonings. Simmer for 5–10 minutes.
- Toss spaghetti with half the sauce and some cheese.
- Layer in a baking dish: pasta mix, sauce, cheese. Repeat layers.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Uncover and bake another 10 minutes until bubbly.
- Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
