Chocolate Crinkles: The Perfect Soft & Fudgy Cookie

These chocolate crinkle cookies are soft, chewy, and ultra-fudgy on the inside with a beautifully crackled powdered sugar coating on the outside. A holiday favorite that’s easy to make and sure to impress!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup powdered sugar (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Mix dough : Whisk cocoa, sugar, and oil. Add eggs and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients until a thick dough forms.
  2. Chill : Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  3. Roll & Coat : Scoop dough, roll into balls, and coat generously in powdered sugar.
  4. Bake : Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes until edges are set and tops are crinkled.
  5. Cool : Let cool 5 minutes on tray, then transfer to a rack.
